Washington DC Pianist

Washington DC Pianist

Looking for an experienced jazz piano player in the Washington, DC area? You’ve come to the right place!

Jay Frost is an accomplished Washington DC pianist with a focus on jazz and lounge music. In addition to playing solo piano, he has played in community theater productions, led his own jazz trio, and performs frequently with his wife, vocalist Tessa Frost.

Jay has been playing the piano since he was about nine years old and started accompanying fellow students in talent shows in high school, and was soon accompanying the swing choir and theater programs.

In college he took some music courses, played in an Italian restaurant for a few semesters, produced an indie album of original compositions (Save It for a Rainy Day), and started gigging with a classic rock cover band where he remained for over a year.

Moving from Seattle in 2012, Jay is now a Washington DC pianist and continues to perform as a pianist for hire at numerous venues, teach piano and music theory, and host house concerts, while composing and producing inspirational music with his wife and performing for Christian Science churches services and events around the country.

We invite you to have a look at some of Jay’s past performance venues, browse through some of his piano videos, and to contact Jay directly with any questions.
