Live Music for the Capitol Hill Restoration Society

Playing for the Capitol Hill Restoration Society’s 60th anniversary was probably one of the most educational gigs I’ve had for a long time. We heard all sorts of great stories from long time Capitol Hill residents that spanned the evolution of the neighborhood to the legal mechanisms of city development to the story of some people who clasped arms in front of a bulldozer to save a historic site.

Between all of that was a lots of food, cake, and live jazz piano provided by Yours Truly, in the lovely new Baxter Hall at St. Mark’s. Also, they posted CHRS 60th Anniversary photos. Overall, it was a great night and if you’re in the area I recommend signing up for a Capitol Hill tour!
