Frost Advisory plays Jazz Night at Old Town Theater

UPDATE:

Playing last night was SO MUCH fun! There were well over 100 people in attendance and we really had a good time going through our two sets. Looking forward to playing there again!

Tessa and I are pleased to announce our first public jazz gig in DC! Well, actually in Alexandria, VA, but close enough. In any case, this will be our debut show as Frost Advisory, which is basically our jazz duo and some form of a combo.

We’ll be playing two sets with the fabulous grooves and beats of drummer Andrea Spadafora in the Old Town Theater at 8pm on July 18th.

Our main genre is jazz, but we’ll be sliding into some blues, latin, salsa, and a bit of light rock. In addition to some less-known standards, you’ll hear our renditions of Besame Mucho, the Pink Panther, and select tunes from the Beatles, Gershwin, and maybe even Maroon 5.

The theater is nearly one hundred years old, and after falling into disrepair was almost converted into a retail store before being rescued in 2011, restored, and reopened in December 2012. It’s now a beautiful space with a great vibe.

Tickets for our show are $15 online, but don’t miss this Old Town Theater Groupon deal which will get you 2 for 1. I imagine you can buy tickets at the door too.

Hope to see you there!
