Merry Christmas! … in August?
I was invited by a local fellow jazz pianist (whom I often swap gigs with) to play at the 43th Annual Glow of Christmas Past convention, held in Arlington, VA. I’m not going to lie – it was a little surreal to be playing several hours of Christmas music with outside temperatures in the upper 80’s .. but hey, isn’t it like this in Australia? In any case, the attendees were very appreciate and seemed to be enjoying their time swapping Christmas lights and figurines and all sorts of trinkets and who knows what else. The vintage Christmas lights display was quite impressive – picture below!
