Wedding Music
Jay is honored to have played piano for dozens of weddings in the greater Washington, DC area over the past several years, spanning a variety of cultures and traditions. There’s something very special about being part of a ceremony where two people commit to being together for the rest of their lives.
The first wedding I played for was nearly 20 years ago for a friend on a boat in Seattle’s Elliot Bay. Before long, all sorts of friends were getting married and asking me to play for them.
In 2012 we moved to Washington, DC, and my career in wedding music really took off and I was playing piano for weddings all over town. I played in churches and hotels all around the Capital for ceremonies spanning a variety of cultures and traditions, and was privileged to see a lot of happy people tying the knot.
I’d be delighted to provide live wedding music for your ceremony, cocktail hour, or reception and don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions! If there’s a tuned piano on site, that’s fabulous – but if not, I can always bring my portable setup (which doesn’t take up too much space and sounds great). I have suggestions for wedding songs if you need them as well.
Best wishes and many blessings!
Jay
