Playing with the Trio at the Anacostia BID JazzHop
My trio and I had the pleasure of being one of the bands playing in a jazz festival last weekend put on by the Anacostia BID in coordination with DC Jazz Fest. We found our amazing outdoor hideaway venue behind a closed clothing store in downtown Anacostia and thoroughly enjoyed an afternoon of jazz standards, improvisation, and inspiration. One of the most unique parts of the JazzHop was being joined by two artists who painted on easels while we played – how fun is that!!
